Continue to study the ways to increase the greenery on the bridge:

  • Consider removing the small planters the outside edge on the east side
  • Consider increasing the size of the tree planters
  • Consider changing the species from elms to something smaller given the size of the planting beds
  • Consider making the planters larger
  • Include the clear bike pathway markings on the eastern shared use path specifically for north bound cyclist traffic
  • Remove Sharrows from the northbound street markings on E. 22nd Street

Very strongly, the committee does not support the present design of the intersection at the north-south connection from Cedar Avenue to Carnegie Avenue and would support a redesign to a more standard, pedestrian friendly T-intersection with a light that has robust pedestrian infrastructure as part of the intersection (acknowledging the language in the prior litigation agreement regarding the MidTown Connector). Allow for a future connection to the street for the future Cedar Estates.
